Our Vision for the future and how it might be achieved:

With the help of the Village Hall and Church Comities our aim is for:

* a parish which has a happy and vibrant community and where there are sufficient activities to satisfy the aspirations of all age groups.
* a parish which is a peaceful and idyllic place to live or work and where there is investment to enable it to grow and prosper.
* a stable and durable local economy built on developing our community strengths and grasping new opportunities which sustain the quality of life the parish has to offer.

How this might be achieved:

*We will manage the environment by communicating what is special about the parish and provide everyone with the opportunity to have a say in important matters.
* We will challenge planning applications that do not support the views of the majority and we will ensure that planning regulations are applied consistently and avoid unnecessary bureaucracy.
* We will support new and existing businesses so that they can grow.
* We will monitor all issues concerning the parish and act immediately on any that cause concern to the community

STRENGTHS, WEAKNESSES, OPPORTUNITIES, THREATS

Strengths are the things we are good at or are unique to our parish, such as an active community willing to help itself. We use our strengths to overcome Weaknesses , such as poor police cover. Opportunities are the things that either present themselves or are instigated by us to improve parish life. Threats are things we may face now or those that a changing society presents, such as proposed Wind Farm Development.

Our aim is to capture the issues which will help us to exploit our strengths and opportunities and better equip us to counter weaknesses and threats.

Strengths:
Local services: Active Parish Council, Church,recently Renovated Village Hall
Local community groups and clubs, Parish Council Website, Beautiful landscape, good location, Parish history and traditions, Community spirit, Diversity of skills/talents/experience, Waste/recycling collection points

Weaknesses:
Poor police cover, Lack of low cost housing, Lack of local employment
Poor integration of new residents, Lack of public transport
Poor condition of roads, No shops/post office/school
